Controller: SolTrade is currently an independent project operated by Juan Carlos Castro Ortiz in Spain. If the operating entity changes before commercial launch, this policy will be updated. Privacy contact: privacy@soltrade.uk.
Current product scope: SolTrade is automated algorithmic trading software currently operating 100% in Paper Trading. It may automatically generate, submit and manage simulated orders through Alpaca Paper. It does not currently place live-money orders and does not custody client funds.
Public website and Early Access data: email address, optional name, interest category, language, consent version, source and a hashed network identifier used for abuse prevention. Email and optional name submitted through Early Access are encrypted at rest; the email is also hashed for deduplication.
Private beta account data: username or Google identity identifier, display name, email, role, invite/beta membership, login/session metadata, onboarding state and feedback. Session tokens are stored as hashes. Google OAuth access tokens used during sign-in are not intentionally persisted by SolTrade.
Broker and Paper Trading data: if a beta user connects Alpaca Paper, SolTrade may process encrypted Alpaca Paper API credentials, broker account identifier, Paper positions, orders, fills, portfolio snapshots, risk settings, decisions, thesis/risk state and related audit telemetry. Broker credentials are encrypted at rest with the application master key.
Model and analytics processing: selected market, portfolio and trading context may be sent to OpenAI to generate or review Paper Trading analysis. SolTrade is designed not to send Alpaca API secrets, Google credentials or session tokens to OpenAI. Usage metadata such as model, token counts, latency, request identifiers and estimated cost may be recorded for audit and cost control.
Infrastructure and service providers: SolTrade currently uses Cloudflare infrastructure (including Workers/D1), Google for optional identity sign-in and hosted fonts, OpenAI for selected model processing, and Alpaca for Paper brokerage/data integration. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy frameworks and may process information outside the EEA.
Purposes and legal bases: Early Access communications rely on your consent. Account/beta operation and requested technical services rely on steps requested by you and, where applicable, performance of the beta relationship. Security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and service integrity rely on SolTrade's legitimate interests. Legal obligations may apply where required by law.
Retention: Early Access information is retained while the programme is active or until removal is requested, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. Beta account, Paper Trading and audit records are retained for the duration of the beta/account and for a reasonable period needed for security, debugging and auditability. Retention periods will be formalised before any commercial live-money service.
Sharing: SolTrade does not sell personal data to advertisers. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the beta, when you request an integration, or where disclosure is legally required.
International transfers: some providers may process information outside Spain/EEA. Where European data-protection law applies, transfers are intended to rely on the transfer mechanisms made available by the relevant provider and applicable law.
Your rights: where GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority.
Security: SolTrade uses tenant separation, encrypted storage for designated secrets, hashed session tokens, access controls and audit logging. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Automated decisions: SolTrade may automatically generate and execute simulated trading decisions in the Paper beta. Because the current beta does not use real money, those automated Paper decisions do not themselves produce legal or similarly significant financial effects for beta users. Any future live automated functionality will be subject to separate terms, eligibility and compliance review.
Changes: this policy may be updated as the beta, providers or legal structure evolve. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
